This Spring Collection was about finding my identity as a young adult woman. As a child I was a tomboy so there was a big hatred towards the color pink. This collection is me growing up as a woman navigating what that means to me and finding myself as an Asian American Plus-size woman. Due to this, there is a lot of usage of many shades of pink as an homage to my past and how far I’ve come.

Why a pompom jacket? Simply because I’ve always wanted one when I was a child and as such a crafty item children use why not use it as a material? Additionally, the pants are hand-crocheted and are extra long and dragging reminiscent of how as a child my pants were too long and would drag constantly, so why not exaggerate it?
